Gayle Treworgy, joined the family business in 1974 after attending Butera School of Art in Boston.

For a number of years she was THE graphic designer, pattern maker, sign painter and sometimes glass blower in the neon plant. As new technology aided both design and fabrication processes her time was spent assembling a top notch team of graphic designers and technicians using state of the art equipment. This approach has consistently kept Bangor Neon ahead of the competition.

In 1983 she was joined by her husband, Joel Hansen, who worked his way up thru the ranks from sign installer to operations manager. The two have worked closely with husband and wife team Grace & Bob Treworgy who founded the family business in 1948. Sadly in July of 2007 Bob passed on to a better place leaving Grace and her family, including daughter Gayle, son-in-law Joel and Granddaughter Ansley Hansen to carry on and improve upon their dream.

Although Gayle also sells Real Estate in the area Bangor Neon remains her passion and life ambition. She jokes that if Mother is still at work daily since 1948 then her own service since 1974 is merely entry level beginner stuff.
